Lawrence joined Sino Suisse in Jan 2019 as Chief Investment Officer. Lawrence is responsible for the global oversight of the firm's investment strategies across all asset classes including FX, listed equities, OTC Fixed Income, structured products and foreign exchange. Additionally, he oversees the investment team in managing and monitoring investment activity. Lawrence is particularly focused on risk management of clients' portfolios and is personally involved in asset allocation and portfolio construction decisions.

Prior to joining Sino-Suisse, Lawrence was Head of Interest Rates Trading at CTBC Bank, Singapore branch. During his time there, he established the interest rates trading desk and built its global clientele franchise from ground zero.

Lawrence is a seasoned macro trader, having spent over 14 years in the financial industry trading multiple asset classes, including fixed income, derivatives, structured products, foreign exchange, and equities. He has a keen understanding of financial markets and macroeconomic drivers, utilising a blend of fundamental and technical analysis in formulating his investment decisions.

Lawrence began his career in United Overseas Bank (UOB) as a Management Associate with Global Markets and Investment Management in 2008 and quickly rose through the ranks to the position of Director where he co-managed a US$8 billion global fixed income portfolio. Lawrence's stint in UOB started with the Asset-Liability Management arm before moving to the Short-term Interest Rate Management (STIRM) desk with specialization in interest rates and foreign exchange derivatives.​

Lawrence's experience encompasses developed and emerging markets; both in fixed income and foreign exchange space.

Lawrence holds a BA in Social Sciences from the National University of Singapore (NUS) majoring in Economics. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder and a certified Financial Risk Manager.
