David Toh Ka Hock

David holds a Bachelor's degree in commerce from the University of New South Wales, Australia and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. During the period from 1975 to 1990, David worked at various accounting firms in Sydney and Hong Kong; specializing in tax, financial products, corporate restructuring and fund set ups. He joined the then Coopers and Lybrand, Singapore as a tax principal in 1990 and later served as the head of corporate tax. After Coopers and Lybrand merged with Pricewaterhouse to form PricewaterhouseCoopers, David was the leader for providing tax advice on merger and acquisition transactions in Asia and the head of China Desk. 

After David retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers, Singapore in July 2007, he joined Want Want China Holdings Limited as an independent non-executive Director, Chairman of Audit and Risk Management Committee and Remuneration Committee, and member of Nomination Committee. David had served as independent director of other listed companies and is Senior Adviser to various family groups operating globally.

Since David entered the profession, he has always specialized in various types of tax including income tax, estate duty, stamp duty in the region; to name a few. He focuses on corporate structuring, IPO, M&A, wealth management, family succession trust and foundation.
